Our School
Sekolah kebangsaan Temangan
located about 12 kilometers from Machang town. It is located near Sungai
Kelantan (in Temangan). The school can be reached by road through Batu 30
(Jalan Kota Bharu - Kuala Krai) and Chinese Village ( Kota Bharu - Tanah
Merah). It is also can be reached by train from Tanah Merah to Kuala Krai,
Kelantan. (Appendix 1 and 2)
Establishment.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Temangan
opened on August 1, 1950. At first, the school located in a temporary building,
which is a rice store located in Temangan. The founder of this school are:

AJK : En Ab. Hamid bin Seman
En. Sulaiman bin Latiff
En. Ahmad bin Hj. Noh
En. Mat Diah bin Deraman
En. Raja Abdullah bin Raja Lembak
At first the school had only
three classrooms, which was only the standard one, two and three. The first
headmaster was En. Hissin bin Omar, assisted by three other teachers, En. Daud
Bin Ibrahim, En. Mokhtar Bin Ibrahim and En. Mohamad Bin Hj. Abdullah.
In 1951, new buildings (2
buildings like in the picture) was built. The building has five classrooms and
a staffroom.
In 1982, Sekolah Kebangsaan
Temangan has grown to 13 classes, with 7 classes in the morning session and 6
in the afternooon. The total student at the time was 532 people with 19
teachers and 6 staffs. (Refer to attachment 3 and 4.)
Based on references, studies
and questionnaires made, the first organization chart for the school in 1983
was as Appendix 5.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Temangan
has a unique history of its own. Among them is a pool that had been dug by the
Japanese during the occupation of Malaya in 1948. The pool is used by the
Japanese to wash the iron on a hill nearby (Bukit Besi village). The muddy Iron
brought by special train to the laundry in mini pool. After that, the iron was
cooked (baked in order to melt into chunks) in a specially built tower burners.

What is strange about the
pool, it was never dry until now. (see picture)

created by one of the members of the school committee, Mr. Ab. Hamid bin Seman

Green stated that the school
surrounded by the population who are farmers. Yellow also means part of the
business activities because Temangan at that time was a small town that is
quite advanced and reached by water (Kelantan River), railway and by road.
The picture of books and a pen
between the green and the yellow colours, stands for the school located in the heart
of Temangan town.
The motto: "Diligent
efforts Success" means all the school’s staffs including students will
work very hard to achieve the dream.
2.2 School’s Philosophy.
Starting from the beginning
until 1999, the Sekolah Kebangsaan Temangan’s philosophy is as follows:
"That all of the teachers
in the school have the capacities and capabilities to give proper educations
and to promote the quality of the pupils of this school."
"Whereas the students
have the abilities and potentials to grow their intellectual.
The widest opportunities will
be given to them to expand the intellect”
However, starting from 1999,
the school had a slight improvement of the philosophy without changing its
original goal. , The philosophy is as follows:

1) Students at this school is
to have the ability and potential to thrive in terms of intellect, with the
widest possible opportunity should be given to the students in this school was
the intellectual development;
2) The teachers at this school
have the ability, knowledge, experience, skills, competence, passion and
professional abilities and professional belief to give a perfect education,
comprehensive and quality to develop students'
3) The school has the capacity
in terms of providing physical facilities and teaching staff to take
responsibility for his dedication to the pupils that can make a positive
contribution to the nation.
4) Fostering a culture of
information technology at all levels of education.
2.4. The General Aim.
The general aims of the school
until now are as follows;
1. Improve academic
achievement by students to a higher level.
2. Eradicate students who
cannot read, write and count.
3. Enable students to master
English as the primary language of the State.
4. Strive to enable students
to master other languages, especially simple English language
5. Educate and form pupils to
be disciplined, educated and guidance.
However, started from 1999, a
number of changes and improvements were also made to the general objectives of
this to be in line with current requirements.
